World Book Day

Posted 23rd February 2023

WBD-logo-eyes-down-right-DATE-01-1-e1657705663216As part of our World Day celebrations this year, we are very excited to welcome Imagined Things bookshop into school on Friday 24th February. They will be doing an assembly with all children in their phase groups, sharing stories and then the children will be given the opportunity to swap their WBD token for a book. We hope to send all children home with a new book on this day!

World Book Day itself falls on Thursday 2nd March and we will be celebrating in school in our classes in a variety of different ways to further promote and instil a love of reading in our pupils. All children are invited to come into school dressed up as their favourite book character on this day if they would like to. This is completely optional; please don’t feel the need to go out and spend money on costumes as we are aware that the current financial climate is a tight one for everyone. If your child chooses not to dress up, they should wear school uniform as normal.

If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s phase leader.
