Apple Regional Training Centre

Western is pleased to announce that it has been recognised as an Apple Regional Training Centre for 2024-2025.

Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.

Headteacher, Jo Slack says, "We are incredibly proud as a primary school to not only be supporting pupils within our own community but to now be in the privileged position where we can support other schools with their development of using the iPad as a tool through our important outreach work as an Apple Regional Training Centre"

Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators. 

Teachers from across the Red Kite Trust can attend courses to build knowledge and skills and earn badges to achieve Apple Teacher recognition. Customised courses offered this year through our centre will also include: Start Teaching with iPad, Amplifying Creativity with iPad, Innovate with iPad.
