I come from a commercial background, having started my own consultancy business with a couple of colleagues and growing it to a point where we employed 50 staff. Since selling the company in 2011, I have been mainly involved in voluntary work and as well as being a governor at Western, I am a FA Licensed football coach and occasionally assist micro- and small businesses with planning and strategy. I have one child at university and one at Harrogate Grammar school, both of whom attended Western. My area of responsibility is Safeguarding.
