In return, our Pay & Reward offer is a comprehensive package including our discounts & benefits schemes, employee assistance programme, opportunities for personal development, access to apprenticeship training and for teaching roles in our North Yorkshire schools, access to the “Student Loan Reimbursement Programme” for eligible subjects.

We also offer upfront salary and other loan arrangements to help with relocation costs and full consideration for portability of pay.

Forward Thinking Recruitment

How we recruit has changed – we are forward thinking and understand the right fit works both ways. We have encouraged visits through our Recruitment Open Days, partnered with The University of Leeds to encourage applicants and refocused our applicant journey approach.

Flexible Working

We are delighted and extremely proud that our Trust is a Flexible Working Ambassador Multi-Academy Trusts and Schools (FWAMS), appointed by the DfE to support school leaders to implement and embed flexible working in their schools. Flexible working can support in the recruitment and retention of quality teachers and support colleagues, and have a positive impact on wellbeing, as well as promoting equality in the workforce. Despite the benefits, there are challenges associated with implementing flexible working and we support schools in overcoming these.

In our Trust we will consider requests for flexible working at the recruitment stage.  For many roles some flexibility is possible, for example; flexible hours, part time, PPA time at home.

Many of our colleagues work flexibly in many different ways including part-time.  Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need.  We can’t promise to give you exactly what you want, but we do promise to have an open discussion and give careful consideration to your preferences.

For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of flexible working e.g. reduced hours, some home working and flexible start and finish times. Let us know in your application or at interview and we’ll explore this with you.
